In case you did not know. Well, now you have a chance to know. Hope Masike is undoubtedly the queen of the Harare International Festival of Arts (HIFA).
She really has lit HIFA this year. And her name is already synonymous with HIFA. She is now a household name for HIFA.
The performance she delivered on Saturday 5 May showed Hope Masike’s maturity and how she clearly has mastered the concept of diversity in music. Everything she does when she is on stage exudes a lot of energy and positivity. She gives her all when she is performing and she really is able to leave fans clamouring for more.
Her performance she delivered at the Global Stage on 5 May was more than splendid. Everyone was grooving to her songs and it was simply marvellous.
She looked very royal. She had come to assert her authority as one of the best musicians in Zimbabwe.
When she did Buka Iro from the late Chiwoniso Maraire it was more than special, and when she did Next to Me from Demi Lovato people were just moved. That’s just how great she is.
And, it’s not a Hope Masike performance is she does not sing Musha Mukadzi and Ndinewe. Those songs are simply magic.
Hope Masike also delivered a splendid performance on the opening day of HIFA 2018.
We just love to see more and more of Hope Masike.
HIFA 2018 has done well, on the overall. It’s been an interesting journey really.
